What a Life Capital session costs.
Two figures are fixed and published: a seat at an open session, and the rate when two or more people book together. Everything a school, a company or a funder orders is quoted, because the figure follows the group, the format and the venue. This page collects both figures in one place and says what a quote is built from.
Figures are in Canadian dollars. The written offer carries the final number, the lead time and the cancellation terms.

CAD 150 and CAD 100 are the only figures fixed in advance. Everything else is a number in writing, in the reply to your enquiry.

The Bank of Canada Museum books free, staff-led school programs: online from anywhere in Canada, and in Ottawa as a field trip. Its school-programs page carries a temporary-closure notice for the Museum itself, checked on 23 September 2026, so the virtual programs are the route running today. A school with no budget line for this should use them, and a teacher who asks us about free options gets that answer in the reply.
Here is what a paid five-hour simulation adds on top. One table, 5–8 students, one paper ledger each, a Trainer and a Banker in the room for the whole session. Players work through roughly forty years of adult financial life in one sitting: a first job, borrowing, insurance, a missed payment, a change of career, a move to another country. Each decision is written into the player’s own ledger, and the debrief at the end is the student reading that ledger out loud and saying what each choice cost. The session produces no scores and no reports about a student; the ledger belongs to the player.
A one-hour museum program and a five-hour simulation answer different questions, and a school can use both. If one paid item is all the budget allows this year, the sensible order is the free programs first, then a Life Capital session for the group you want to take further — a club that meets across the year, a school team for the Canadian national stage, or the Grade 10 cohort the Ontario graduation requirement applies to.

Is CAD 150 per person or per table?
Per seat. A table seats 5–8 players, 8 at most, and each seat is booked on its own. Two or more seats booked together are CAD 100 each.
Why is there no published price for a school?
Because the figure follows the format, how many tables run at once and the travel to the school, and those differ for every school. Name the grade, the group size and the month, and the reply carries a number with its breakdown.
What is included in a quote?
The Trainer’s time, the kits at the tables and the materials the format needs. Lead time, cancellation terms and travel for the Trainer are set out in the written offer.
How soon do you reply?
Within two business days, from info@lifecapital.ca. Weekends and Ontario public holidays are not business days.
Can someone else pay for a group of teenagers to play?
Yes, and that is how several of the tournaments happened. For Vienna 2024, Rotarians from several countries paid for the teenagers to travel and stay.
